Nature Connect (Norfolk and Waveney Mind)

Nature Connect is project designed to enable people to develop a deeper contact with nature in their local community

Nature Connect activities offer an opportunity to discover a deep sense of ourselves as part of the nature that surrounds us in our everyday life.

Nature Connect Activities are:
Crops in Pots: learning how to grow vegetables at home in small spaces or on your windowsill.
Forest Bathing: gentle walks in accessible green spaces introducing the Japanese practice of Forest Bathing. Here we experience the natural environment with all our senses, and through guided invitations, connect with nature both within, and around us, enjoying its health- enhancing qualities.
Nature Re-Connect groups: a programme of immersive and creative outdoor activities drawing on the University of Derby’s five key pathways to rediscover our connection with nature: the senses, emotions, beauty, meaning and compassion. These themes are explored through mindfulness in nature practices, nature-based crafting, Ecotherapy reflections and activities drawn from other traditions.
