New-U is a registered charity with two primary aims:
- To support unemployed young people to make positive steps towards work or training
- To promote a sustainable approach to fashion by swapping clothes in our Norwich store and pop up swap event
Get involved
Customers are invited to bring in up to 10 clean, undamaged items per day and exchange for swap points. The number of points awarded is based on the quality and condition of each item. We accept women’s and men’s clothes and accessories in good or new condition. New-U swap points can be ‘spent’ on other items of choice in our shop. There is a small cash/card charge for every item swapped out, and everything is available to buy for people with nothing to swap.
We also run upcycle events in Norwich and North Norfolk, creating rag rugs, bunting, wreaths etc from clothing that can no longer be worn.
